TRAINING & BEHAVIOUR

Terms and Conditions – Sussex K9 Academy.

Sussex K9 Academy reserve the right to choose the clients it works with. We only want to work with clients that want to achieve the best results as possible for themselves and their dog(s). By Booking in with Sussex K9 Academy and Sending Payment, You are accepting FULL Acceptance of Our terms and conditions.

1. Bookings will be confirmed via text or email if given.

2. Payment should be made via bank transfer or cash, an invoice shall be sent via email at the time of booking.

3.Full payment secures bookings, we allow 3 days from sending the invoice for payment. If no payment is received the booking will be cancelled/void.

4.Cancellations for all services excluding residential bookings, are to be made with a weeks notice prior to your booked session or you may still be charged the full amount. 

5. Cancellations for all services excluding residential bookings, made before one week’s notice will be issued a refund less 20% to cover business Costs and loss of income.

6. Susses K9 Academy cannot accept liability or responsibility for any loss, injury or damage to a person(s),dog(s) or property(s).

7. Owners always remain responsible for the dog(s) during a session.

8. Dogs should be fully wormed, vaccinated up to date and recieved a full health check via a vet.

9.All dog bite/medical history must be declared before a booking is made * If we choose to work with a dog with bite history there will be additional costs.

11. Travel costs will apply to all bookings that have an agreed location or at an owners home that is outside 10 miles of TN21. 

12. By booking with us and accepting these terms and conditions you declare that everything discussed during an assessment, consultation or booking to be true and a fair representation.

13. Cancellations of residential bookings, are to be made within 6 weeks notice before residential program start date or you may still be charged the full amount.

14.Cancellations of residential bookings, Made before the 6 six notice period will be issued a refund less 20% to cover business costs and loss of income.

15. Owners are expected to clean up after their dog(s) when in public.

16.Cancellations are required to be made as soon as possible via The email - info@sussexk9academy.co.uk

17. You authorise sussex k9 academy to obtain any emergency veterinary care that may be necessary. You understand that every effort will be made to contact yourself prior to obtaining emergency care. You also accept the responsibility for any charges related to this emergency care.

18. Residential bookings / kickstarter days or any other business activity that sussex k9 academy works with bell reed kennels shall also be bound by Bell reed kennels terms and conditions during their stay/activity which can be obtained through their website and when completing a booking form via the kennels. www.Bellreedkennelsandcattery.co.uk You accept all Bell Reed Kennels terms and conditions that are relevant including the follow numbered terms on their website: 7, 9. 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26 and 27

 19. Any of these terms and conditions (included the terms and conditions stated above for bell reed kennels) that are not upheld, will result in either being turned away, booking cancelled and no refund issued.

20. Sussex k9 Academy may take videos/photos that may include yourself or dog(s) and reserve the right to use these on advertisements, socials media, website or alike. This includes any media inwhich you may send to Sussex k9 academy including messenger, WhatsApp and social media. If you do not wish for this please email at info@sussexk9academy.co.uk at the time of booking to opt out. Any media sent to you via sussex k9 academy, is for your sole use and should not be shared or replicated unless permission given in writing for sussex k9 academy.

21. Sussex K9 Academy cannot offer any guarantees or alike for your dogs training or behaviour modification. You accept that dogs all learn at different paces and that for some dog(s) the training and behaviour training (reactivity)  will take time and dedication from yourself.

22. We reserve the right to change, add or amend our terms and conditions and without prior notice.

23. You agree that you are happy to receive offers, messages, updates and news via text, email, phone, social media, WhatsApp or alike.  

24. You are agreeing and happy to allow Sussex k9 Academy and Bell reed kennels to share customer and dog information, to allow the very best customer experience regarding customer care and your dogs stay.

25. We ask Customers to provide treats and advise us if your dog has to abide by a particular diet or has allergies. If No treats are provided for sessions when owner is not present and hasn’t made us aware of any diet restrictions, SK9A will use 100% meat or fish pate that is hypoallergenic that is suitable for puppies 4 weeks and older, grain and gluten free or SK9A use 100% sprats that are hypoallergenic and grain free.

Disclaimer and Waiver of Liability

We make every effort to ensure the safety of both clients and dogs during Bookings.

However, by making a booking with us, you are accepting that participating in an activity with dogs, children and adults poses a risk of injury to yourself and your dog, and you agree to indemnify Sussex K9  Academy for all personal injury and damage to property while attending training sessions. You agree to assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries or damages, known or unknown, which might occur as a result of your dog attending such sessions. You also agree to make any person who accompanies you to the session(s), or takes your place, aware that they are also there at their own risk. You understand and accept that your dog (and its behaviour) remains entirely your responsibility at all times, whether or not in the presence of the trainer / behaviourist.

I understand that working with dogs and modifying behaviour poses a risk to injury, I agree to ensuring that Necessary steps are taken at all times to prevent injury to any persons, dog(s) and others, including the use of a muzzle and avoidance of situations that might trigger aggressive behaviour. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sussex K9 Academy, against any and all losses, liabilities, judgments, awards and costs (including legal fees and expenses) arising out of, or related to, any claim of injuries to persons, animals or property of any kind, wether before, during or after a consultation or training and implementing suggested techniques with any dog(s).
