What is the SK9A KICKSTARTER ?

Training days are great if you're wanting your dog to learn a lot in a short amount of time, you live too far for our regular 1-1 training sessions or you don't want to fully commit to a residential program.

Kickstarter days offer your dog the opportunity to have a whole day with a trainer. Having your dog for a full day will give us more time than a 1:1 to lay foundations and to help your dog with any issues.

With regular kickstarter days, we can create a more bespoke plan for your dog and start proofing their behaviours and training in the real world with off-site training.

Why Choose The SK9A KICKSTARTER Day?

In simple terms, we can get way more done in one day!

Having your dog for the day allows us to lay the foundations, teach them new appropriate behaviours and skills, then you can continue your dogs training at home.

Training is always tailored towards you and your dog's training journey. Dependant on where you're currently at in your journey, we can work on the following: Loose lead walking, recall, reactivity, commands, appropriate play and more.

We usually start with basic obedience on their first kickstarter day and progress by kickstarter session that they book in for!

Kickstarters are also great for PUPPIES!

Not only do they learn huge amount during their time but we get them out and about for socialisation, to real world environments such as shops, cafes, town, train stations etc.

what to expect from a typical kickstarter day

Drop off Your dog! (8:30am - 9am)

Training! (9am - 4pm)

Drop off your dog with their food/treats/toy at the agreed time when booking.

Check in your dog, letting us know if anything has changed since booking in, such as any health changes.

We will take all your items and get your dog settled in training.

Training! (9am - 4pm)

Throughout the day, your dog will be trained in short but high frequency sessions.

Alongside the obvious training discussed, we will add elements of incremental exposure, appropriate play, neutral time.

We will also travel off-site for training in real world scenarios. Majority of our time will be spent training in new locations!

It’s pickup time! Your dog is going to probably be tired and ready to go home and rest!

Collect your dog, have a brief description of your dogs day and training.

We then send you a email, including a more detailed description of what your dog has been taught during their kickstarter and how to progress forward. If deemed needed by SK9A

How much is a SK9A kickstarter day?

We have one kickstarter price for all, £250.

But what exactly are you getting for your money? Let’s break it down…

- 1-1 dedicated dog trainer for your dog ALL day.

- If needed, kennel fees at BRK will included for the day,

subject to their terms and conditions being met.

- Travel costs for off-site training. (example - travel to a national trust)

- 100% Meat/Fish pate training treats throughout the day.

- Your dog enriched, trained, safe and happy.

- Typical day between 9am - 4pm.

- Dedicated structured walks on top of training.

- Emailed report of what your dog and trainer got up too during there day.
