At SK9A, we know that prevention is better than the curing of a problem.

That's why we take such pride in our puppy training, as we want to set you and your new pup up for maximum success!

SK9A was trained regarding puppy training by IMDT owner, celebrity dog trainer to the likes of Lorraine Kelly, Scott Mills and Emilia Clarke and the author to the number ONE best selling dog book in the UK - Steve Mann.

SK9A attended Steve Manns 3 day Puppy Course before submitting several assessments and examination questions, in which SK9A are proud to announce we passed and can call ourselves an Easy Peasy Puppy Squeezey qualified training instructor.

So what does the above mean?

Not a lot really, but if your impressed by that sort of thing, then hey, been there got the t shirt and all that jazz!

If you want our personal opinion, 121 puppy training is the way forward, over puppy classes.

Why? Training your puppy is personal to you.

The training session is yours! questions? need to see something again? struggling? That is no problem! Typically we are able to cover far more in 121 training sessions, than a group puppy class!

As with adult dogs, we like to look at puppy training as a whole, including their lifestyle and routine, sleep, diet and exercise as well as training.

Our 121 puppy training sessions are cheaper than some group puppy classes held in the local area!

4 x 1 hour puppy training sessions held weekly

what do we teach?

The needed foundations, to set you and your puppy up for a lifetime!

We’re different, we don’t take your money and just teach you 3 or 4 exercises in a class.

In fact, have a look around, you will probably find we cover more topics, and charge less!

Our four classes, lead on from each other, improving weekly.

We teach the foundations you need to teach your puppy everything. Check out the list below, to show you just some of the topics we cover in our 121 puppy training package!

We genuinely care that you succeed with your puppy! Your puppy becomes our business card when out and about on a daily basis.

We have had customers enjoy our 121 training so much, they decided to do the package again, continuing to proof training and work on key areas, others have decided to go onto our puppy pack walks, or repeat puppy training as a group class.

What we cover:

Loose lead walking, Recall, Place, Sit, Down, Stand, Sit/Down stay, Markers, Eye contact, Confidence building, Chaining, Spin/Turn, Around, Sit to greet, Hand touch, Nose/Paw target, Scent work, Leave it, Luring, Shaping, Heel position, Lead on/off, Thresholds, Middle, Muzzle conditioning, Emergency stops and MORE.

What to expect?

We keep our group sizes nice and small, maximum of 6 to be exact!

This allows us to teach training exercises but also give handlers and their dogs some time individually without running out of time.

We class puppies as 8 month or less and as long as fully vaccinated, every puppy breed will be welcome!

Having smaller groups means that each puppy has less distractions and can focus on learning new skills..

How much and why so cheap?

Only £65 for 4 one hour sessions. We keep our puppy classes low on price, so everyone can afford some form of training! or ONLY £40 if you have completed the above 1-1 puppy training package with you puppy!

Our puppy group classes aim to cover the same content as our 121 training packages.

On completion of all 4 puppy classes, each puppy will receive a SK9A certificate of completion.

Classes now run on Wednesdays / Thursday Evenings, Contact us to find out our latest availability and start date!
