Get in contact today and we will organise a suitable time and date for you to pop down to our training facilities with your dog for a meet and greet.

If you are from further afield, we can also do this over FaceTime or Zoom.

During our Meet, we can assess the problems you may be facing, advise on which residential package would suit your dogs need best and give you some training tips to leave with.

*Meet and Greets are charged at £50, this is however deductible from any residential package you choose. We also don’t hold Meet and Greets for our one week packages.

After your meet and greet, SK9A will send you an email, covering any details we feel were important to you.

We will also send you over package prices and the current dates available, please be aware that dates fill extremely fast! And it would be completely normal for our next available dates to be a couple months down the line. With this in mind, please book in early to avoid any disappointment.

You will also receive a email from Bell Reed Kennels, containing a new customer form and details needed for records such as vaccination cards etc for licensing. 

Once payment has been recieved, your dates and residential package will be confirmed. 

You arrive at Bell Reed Kennels, our family owned, licensed and run business. 

Here you will make your way to reception, be greeted by the friendly kennel staff, and check your dog in.

(don’t forget their up to date vaccination card including kennel cough) 

Your dog will be checked into their spacious kennel to settle in.

 SK9A will start by taking your dog out for a relaxing walk before starting engagement and marker training with positive reinforcement and plenty of play!

By the end of the day your dog would have settled in, had plenty of walks, play and fun training games for enrichment. Setting them up perfectly for the residential program ahead of them.

Your dog‘s program starts!

One of the main questions we receive is, how long are they training each day?

The reason we don’t give an exact amount of hours is because it completely depends on your dog! 

Your dog will have full on training days, consisting of short, repetitive training sessions throughout the day, some sessions will be longer, including training in real world environments such as towns, cafes and parks etc. but between each session, the rest/sleep is just as important.

On completion of your dog‘s Residential Program (2+ week programs only), you can expect a hand over session. Taking you  through everything your dog has been training on site at our facilities.

We will get you up and running by going through all the training exercises and structure that has been in place for your dog during their residential package.

If your package includes a 121 training session, we can book this in, leaving you feeling prepared to take your dog back home and confident in your own abilities.

If your residential packages doesn’t include a handover, you will receive an email handover.

Your dog will be conditioned to a structure specific to them day to day. 

It is extremely important that you stick to this when they return to you.

SK9A will try to set the routine around your lifestyle but you must be prepared to make significant changes where necessary. 

If you are unable to stick to the plan your dogs behaviour will likely revert back to the way it was.

Booking in some 1-1 Training sessions or kickstart days after your residential booking is a great idea to help cement the training they have completed on their residential program.
